The Welcome Phoebe Meal Train

(Jenna added an update below)

At 7:32pm on Wednesday August 24th, Jenna and I welcomed our first born child, a daughter named Phoebe Clementine Edwards, into this world. She weighed 8 lbs and measured 22 inches in length. She quickly hit all the important milestones, and stole our hearts. She's very excited to meet you all!

We got home today around 2pm and are in the middle of cleaning, organizing, and establishing a routine with our new bundle of joy. The outpouring of support and love from all of our friends and family has swelled our hearts to the point of bursting. If you would like to further assist us during this time, we would greatly appreciate not having to worry about having to hunt/gather some of our meals so we set up a rudimentary meal train.

Fill out this google form (don't forget to click the provided link to see what dates are currently taken). At this time, we only ask for one sign up per day, but feel free to go as far into the future as you'd like. After you sign up, text Corey to coordinate a specific time and source.

Thanks to my parents for watching Rosie, Kerri for checking in on Sal, and Jenna's mom Stephanie for joining us as our one allotted visitor while in the hospital. I included some pictures and a video below for your entertainment.

Within minutes of being born, Phoebe does not look impressed with her new environment
I got way too many pictures of Phoebe sleeping and am particularly fond of this one with momma in the background
Time flies, time to go home!
We were surprised with some balloons, signs, and notes from Kerri and our nieces Sophie and Riley

If you've made it this far I'd like you to know just how proud and how very much in love I am with my amazing and beautiful wife. Jenna persisted without pain meds until she was totally miserable, and by the time 4 hours of active labor had passed was so tired and so weak said multiple times between contractions that "I don't think I can push any more." But when the next contraction came, she put on a warrior's face, gave the great push of life, met our daughter with all the love in the world and suffered through the next couple hours while hungry, tired, nauseous, and barely able to function. At this point, all she could think of is our baby girl and how she hadn't eaten yet (even though Jenna herself hadn't eaten in about 24 hours). There were some tough moments in between some amazing moments, and I am just so impressed with her ability to power through it all. She's already an amazing mother.

Update from Jenna:

Corey is currently wearing his 'Rad Dad' shirt I gifted him as a premature fathers day gift, and it's become absolutely true. He has been amazing to Phoebe in her first few days of life and makes sure that I am taken care of well. I am so grateful for everyone's love and support and all the incoming messages about how they can't wait to meet our lovebug. The biggest thank you to my husband and super Dad, Corey... you are a natural and I love you.

You'll only receive email when they publish something new.
